The name “PENT.” originates from Penthouse—the highest and most refined living space within architecture. It symbolizes the pinnacle of luxury, sophistication, and aspiration, representing not just physical height, but the ideal of reaching one’s highest state of living. PENT. embodies this spirit by guiding its users toward excellence through products that unite craftsmanship, elegance, and performance.
In contrast, the name “dux” derives from Latin, meaning leader or guide. Historically, it referred to commanders who led their people forward—figures of trust, authority, and vision. Across centuries, the word “dux” has continued to represent those who illuminate the path to progress.

dux Inc. was founded in October 2025. Throughout my quarter-century career in interior design, I have consistently held the unwavering belief that “a home should be a vessel for enriching life.”
The world underwent a major transformation following the pandemic of 2020. As people reexamined the time they spend at home, the essence of what people expect from their homes has dramatically changed, from simply a place to live to a place to “organize themselves and nurture their inner vitality.”
